So you want to get a group of friends together and play Texas Holdem poker for the evening. Here's the things you should do to make your evening a success.
Decide how many people you are going to play with. 6 is a good number for a poker evening but up to 10 can play Texas Holdem successfully.
Decide if this is just going to be for play money or if you want to make it a buy in poker tournament, if so what's the buy in. normally the last person sitting wins everything.
Decide the value of the chips each person is going to be allocated at the start of the game
Make sure that you have a poker set with chips, cards and a dealer button.
Decide the amounts of your blinds and if you are playing with a limit or no limit Texas Holdem.
Make sure you know the rankings for the poker hands.
Arrange the date and time and have a great night playing Texas Holdem Poker, Oh and make sure you've got a few beers in for the lads.
